City of Port Lincoln

Port Lincoln is the ‘Seafood Capital of Australia’, and is supported by the largest commercial fishing fleet in Australia. Pristine blue waters, Port Lincoln is renowned for Blue Fin Tuna, prawns, lobster, abalone and scale fish, giving rise to the region’s major fishing and aquaculture industries. Primary production of lamb, wool and beef, together with 50% of South Australia’s total production of wheat, barley and oil seeds, makes Port Lincoln perhaps the nation’s biggest combined agricultural and fishing centre.

Port Lincoln will continue to experience growth in commercial and residential development, lead by tourism and industry activity, including exploration and development of the region’s mineral deposits and Great Australian Bight energy resources.
